Speed, excitement and drama

Cheer on Lejonen motorcycle speedway club and watch world class speedway at Onepartnergroup Arena in Gislaved.

Sweden's oldest speedway track

Gislaved’s Motorcycle speedway club is a very traditional association. The club was founded in 1929 and is almost 100 years old. The club's home arena, now called OnePartnerGroup Arena, is the longest operating speedway arena in the country. Initially, Gislaved’s Motorcycle speedway club mainly organised individual speedway races. Audience interest in the competitions that were put on before and immediately after the Second World War was very high. In 1963, Gislaved’s Motorcycle speedway club began competing in the Swedish speedway series system with a team known as Lejonen. The Lejonen team have participated in the highest league system (The elite series or formerly Division I) for 21 seasons. In total, Lejonen have won eight team medals. Two of which have been to celebrate being Swedish champions.
