Is there anything more wonderful on a hot summer's day than cooling off by taking a dip in a lake?
Stengårdshultsbadet
Along the northern part of our district is Stengårdshultsbadet which has a beach, grassed area, changing rooms, a playground and a barbecue area.
Valdshultsbadet
A small shallow swimming area with a sandy beach. Changing rooms are available
Örerydsbadet
Swimming spot in northern Hestra, which is one of the largest swimming spots in the district with a lovely sandy beach surrounded by pine trees.
From here you have a fantastic view of Isabergstoppen.
Kroksjöbadet
Swimming area at the Isamon sports field in Hestra. Choose between a sandy beach or a lawn to sunbathe on.
Kyrksjöbadet
A large and popular swimming spot in Båraryd with a handicap ramp. There is both a lawn and a sandy beach to lay your blanket on
Tokarpsbadet
A smaller swimming area in Anderstorp with a sandy beach, a lawn, swings and a barbecue area.
Tokarpsbadet is located in Bråarpasjön, Svarvartorpsjön which is lovely to walk or cycle around.
Don't forget your fishing license if you want to try your luck at fishing. The lakes have a large bream population, but there are also perch, pike and roach.
Gläntan
A swimming spot in Anderstorp with a small sandy beach, lawn and good aluminium floating jetties. The swimming area is located at Svarvaretorpasjön and Bråarpasjön, which are also nice to cycle or walk around. Don't forget your fishing license if you want to try your luck at fishing. The lakes have a large bream population, but there are also perch, pike and roach.
Långhultsbadet
Take a dip in a lovely little secluded swimming spot, located between Långhult and Hällabäck in Gislaved district. Långhultsbadet has a lawn and a small sandy beach with a jetty, changing cabin and outhouse. The swimming spot is located at Storasjön, not far from Burseryd's urban area. Park on the roadside, then walk past a field, down to the water.
Borlångsbadet
In Lake Borlången outside Smålandsstenar you will find Borlångsbadet, a small swimming area with a sandy beach, a lawn and a barbecue area.
Fegen's swimming area
This swimming spot is located in the southwest of the district where Gislavedsleden passes, not far from Sandvik's church.
Flatenbadet
Flatenbadet can be found at lake Flaten outside Reftele. A swimming area with a large grass beach and a small sandy beach. It features a children's playground.
Hensjöbadet
At Lake Hensjön, Gryteryd you will find this small swimming area with sandy beach surrounded by forest with barbecue area.
Kårehamn/Bolmen
Here you will find a sandy beach, a lawn and a covered barbecue area.
Municipal swimming areas
The above are municipal swimming areas and water samples are taken at regular intervals during the summer months. Should the samples show deviation, it will be shown HERE
Safety clearances of the municipal swimming areas are carried out by the diving club twice a year.
Pets must be kept on a lead in these swimming areas. It is forbidden to exercise pets or allow them to swim in public swimming areas.
