Fishing at Isaberg

Isaberg offers very varied fishing

From the top of Isaberg you can see the entire Nissan fishery conservation area, which consists of the five lakes; Norra Gussjön, Hammarsjön, Algustorpasjön, Vikaresjön, Södra Gussjön and the river Nissan from the bridge northeast of Öreryd to the old bridge at Båraryd. The area offers very varied fishing. The water system includes trout, pike, perch, pike-perch, roach, rudd, eel and bream. Lake Algustorpa is the most insular and biotopically the most varied lake of all the Nissa lakes. There are several excellent land fishing spots, such as from the beaches around Svartvik.   There are numerous accommodation options near the Nissa Lakes, such as Isaberg mountain resort, Hestraviken and Hestra Guesthouse. Boat ramps can be found in Norra Gussjön, Södra Gussjön and Algustorpasjön. Top your fishing trip off by cooking over an open fire and spending the night at one of the lakes' shelters.
