Canoe in Fegen Nature Reserve

Fegen Nature Reserve is a popular destination for canoeists. Here you can enjoy peace and tranquility in a beautiful landscape. Stop at a campsite, swim and fish and be at one with nature.

The lake is large, deep and known for the rare spring spawning of whitefish. You can see moose and deer among the thickets and osprey and black-throated loon down at the water's edge or over the lake. The three provinces of Halland, Småland and Västergötland meet approximately in the middle of the lower part of the lake. Fegen offers a multitude of great day trips or overnight stays. If you want to take a canoeing trip of a few days, you can continue on through the Svansjön and Kalvsjön lake system.

Combine canoeing with hiking on Gislavedsleden, which stretches along the eastern shore of Fegen. You can, for example, canoe Fegen from north to south and then hike back via Gislavedsleden. You can also canoe from Södra to Norra Fegen and then continue hiking on Gislavedsleden all the way to Isaberg.
