Welcome to Plombo General Store Museum – a unique journey back in time in the heart of the Småland countryside. As you step into the old general store from 1872, it feels as if time has stood still. The original shop has been carefully preserved, complete with vintage advertising posters, tins, bottles, and authentic shop interiors that offer a fascinating glimpse into how trading once looked in rural Sweden.
The store was founded in 1872 by Bernt’s great-grandfather and has remained untouched since 1959, when the door was closed and nailed shut. Thanks to this, visitors today can experience a genuine and remarkably well-preserved country store filled with history, nostalgia, and charm.
Plombo General Store Museum is a perfect destination for anyone interested in cultural history and authentic hidden gems in the Isaberg region. The museum opens by appointment, and visits can be booked via: plombobernt@gmail.com
